NEW PARKING REGULATIONS from 1/7/2010

We are now in a Controlled Parking (ie Resident's Parking) Zone, which has made parking much easier.

Its just a matter of finding a space, then picking up a (free) temporary permit from us to leave on your car dashboard.

Don't forget to return it when you leave please!

Please note, this scheme operates from 8am to 7pm, SEVEN days a week!

************************************ PUBLIC PARKING INFO ************************************

Large car parks in Avon St, Charlotte St, Ham Gardens, Manvers St, Kingsmead Square, Walcot St.

Small car parks in Broad St and Sawclose.

For on-street parking in the centre 8.00am - 6.00pm Monday-Saturday you have to buy a ticket from machines by the roadside (approx £2 per hour).

It's illegal to park on double-yellow lines at any time. On single yellow line you can only park outside working hours - a small sign will say exactly which times.
Usually you're OK on a single yellow on Sundays, and weekdays after 6.00pm or before 8.00am. Vehicles illegally parked will probably be towed away by a big lorry.
It costs £125 to recover the car and there's no getting out of it.

Time limited FREE PARKING can sometimes be found in and around the Victoria Park area, and from further along Camden Road (past the shops) parking is unrestricted.
